NZICC SUPERVISOR

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As an NZICC Supervisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering seamless, high-quality experiences for clients and guests across conferences, exhibitions, banquets, VIP functions, and the wider precinct.

From planning to operations, you will support the leadership team in ensuring NZICC runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standard across all front-of-house and back-of-house functions.

This is an evolving role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, perfect for someone who thrives on variety, teamwork, and delivering extraordinary customer experiences.

We currently have both Permanent and Casual Supervisor opportunities available.

 

Mōu | About You

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in events, conventions or large-scale hospitality
  • Strong experience delivering banquets, conferences, and high-volume events.
  • Excellent knowledge of hospitality operations including food safety, liquor licensing, health & safety, and customer service.
  • Calm, confident decision-making and the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  A passion for leading people and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexible to work across various shifts

NZICC SALES MANAGER - CORPORATE & SPECIAL EVENTS - FIXED TERM


Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As our Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for generating corporate and special event business from across Aotearoa to meet and exceed revenue targets.

You’ll drive sales strategy, manage key accounts, and play a pivotal role in showcasing our world‑class venues to local and national markets.

You'll work collaboratively with partners such as Auckland Convention Bureau (ACB), Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA), and our internal operational teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Generate new business opportunities across international association and corporate markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ACB, TNZ, BEIA, academic institutions and global clients
  • Contract new and repeat business and undertake pricing negotiations within guidelines
  • Lead and participate in sales strategies, trade activity, familiarisation trips and client engagement initiatives
  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients while expanding the pipeline through strategic sales activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your direct report, ensuring collaborative and high-performing team delivery

Are you a driven sales leader with a passion for creating unforgettable event experiences? We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Manager – Corporate & Special Events to join our New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) team and lead the charge in growing our corporate and special events portfolio.

You’re a confident and strategic sales professional with a strong understanding of the international business events sector. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in business events sales or business development
  • A successful track record in building relationships and delivering revenue growth
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
  • Confidence in decision-making and ownership of outcomes
  • Advanced administrative and computer skills, including MS Office
  • Experience using Momentus Enterprise (highly desirable)
  • Tertiary qualifications in tourism, hospitality, business or a related field (preferred)
  • This is a 12 month fixed term position

COMMI & DEMI CHEFS - NZICC (CASUAL)


Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We’re looking for Commi and Demi level chefs. In your role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation. You’ll work with fresh ingredients, follow recipes, and contribute to menu development while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. From prepping and plating to managing food safety and timing, you’ll play a key part in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

You have the qualifications and hands-on experience to back up your craft, and you’re passionate about creating exceptional dishes. CULINARY CREW MEMBER - NZICC (CASUAL)


Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about food and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment to help us deliver exceptional quality and service behind the scenes.

  • Assist with Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and prepare fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish. Help chefs with basic cooking tasks and portioning.
  • Set Up for Success: Prepare raw materials for the next day, retrieve goods from storage, and ensure workstations are fully stocked.
  • Support Our Chefs: Deliver high-quality products with excellent presentation to chefs and restaurant teams.
  • Stay Compliant: Follow SkyCity health & safety policies and food safety regulations to minimize risk.
  • General Duties: Clean cooking vessels, organize deliveries, store ingredients safely, and report low inventory levels promptly.


Mōu | About You

Ideally you will be looking for a first step of your culinary career. You will have a passion for cooking as well as:  

  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Understanding of food safety and health regulations preferred but training can be provided.
