Senior Event Planner
Are you the event planner ready to lead the planning and delivery of world-class events? We're looking for a Senior Event Planner to join our Event Planning team!
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a senior member of the Event Planning team, you'll bring strategic oversight, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for excellence. You'll mentor junior planners, collaborate across departments, and ensure every event exceeds expectations.
- Lead the planning and execution of complex events with over 1,000+ attendees.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver seamless event experiences.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, encouraging repeat business.
- Drive up-selling and revenue generation strategies to meet margin targets.
- Champion compliance with health and safety, host responsibility, and legislative requirements.
- Use Momentus software as the central source of truth for all event information.
Mōu| About You
- Proven experience in event planning across varied formats (conventions, exhibitions, gala dinners, live performances).
- Experience leading teams and mentoring others.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred: Tertiary qualifications in tourism, hospitality, or business.
- Bonus: Experience with Momentus, EventDraw, AutoCAD, or VectorWorks

Event Planner
We are looking for a detail-oriented and client-focused Event Planner to join our high-performing team in Auckland. In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for the seamless coordination and delivery of large-scale, multi-day events, ranging from conventions and exhibitions to live performances.

You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure every event is executed to the highest standard. From planning logistics and upselling services to managing client relationships and ensuring compliance, you'll play a key role in delivering world-class experiences at NZICC.
- Coordinating and executing events in collaboration with the Event Delivery and Operations teams.
- Managing client relationships and conducting site inspections.
- Identifying upselling opportunities to support revenue targets.
- Preparing event plans, reports, and handovers for internal teams.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety and host responsibility requirements.
- Using Momentus software to manage all event-related information.

You're an experienced event professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences. You're a confident communicator, a strong negotiator, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proven experience planning large-scale events (500+ attendees).
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of successful event delivery.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in decision-making and upselling.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.

Operations Manager
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As the NZICC Operations Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing the casual workforce, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the NZICC. Your role will involve coordinating all aspects of event delivery, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. You will play a key role in creating a culture of excellence and ensuring the seamless operation of our venue.
- Recruit, train, and develop the casual workforce during the pre-opening, opening, and operational phases.
- Oversee front of house and back of house services, technology, and health and safety.
- Ensure the seamless delivery of events, including room configurations, event setups, and inventory management.
- Manage relationships with hirers, clients, partners, and guests to ensure exceptional service.
- Develop and implement service standards and continually seek improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Lead and manage the event delivery team to achieve targets and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure the NZICC is fit for purpose and maintained to a high standard.
- Monitor customer feedback and provide solutions to enhance the customer experience.
- Enforce uniform and venue presentation standards.
Mōu| About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience at a management level within a high-volume conventions or events environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in all aspects of large venue management.
- Pre-opening experience of a large venue.
- Proven expertise in managing multiple events to meet and exceed targets.
- Knowledge of employment relations, health & safety, food safety, alcohol service, and liquor licensing.
- Strong background in food and beverage management.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of writing policies and procedures.
- Preferred: Tertiary qualifications in tourism, hospitality, business, or related discipline, experience with the Momentus booking management system, first aid certificate, and experience coaching, training, and mentoring casual staff.

We are looking for a talented Kitchen Administrator.
As Kitchen Administrator, as well as playing a key role in supporting our Executive Chef, you'll provide administrative and operational support to the wider NZICC culinary team. Based in a brand-new, state-of-art kitchen equipped with cutting-edge technology, you'll help ensure everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. From managing compliance and co-coordinating resources to maintaining back-of-house systems and contributing to operational planning, your work will be essential to the success of our culinary operations. This role ensures the smooth functioning of all back of house admin systems, compliance, resource coordination and contributes to the operational planning.

As the Health & Safety Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding a strong safety culture across NZICC. You'll work closely with leaders, employees, and contractors to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support the delivery of safe and successful events.
- Develop and implement NZICC's Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Lead risk assessments and emergency planning for high-risk activities and events
- Coach and mentor HS Ambassadors and build safety capability across the business
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and best practice
- Investigate incidents and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Mōu| About You
- 3-5 years' experience in frontline safety operations or safety management
- Strong background in event health and safety
- In-depth knowledge of NZ or Australian health and safety regulations
- Proven ability to influence, coach, and collaborate across diverse teams
- Tertiary qualifications in health and safety or equivalent
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
