ASSISTANT TEAM MANAGER


Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As a Assistant Team Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and protection of NZICC employees, visitors, customers, and assets. This is a hands-on position that supports the implementation of our security operational plan and procedures in alignment with NZICC's Risk Management Strategy. This is a senior opportunity that enables you to influence and shape security practices in future and support growth within the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering customer-focused security services across all NZICC venues
  • Responding to security and emergency incidents with professionalism and urgency
  • Supporting operations and facilities teams during events and daily activities
  • Assisting with staff training and ensuring SOPs are followed
  • Monitoring and reporting incidents accurately and efficiently
  • Providing security support across departments and acting as a visible presence

Mōu | About You
You're a vigilant and proactive professional with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to safety. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a calm, confident approach to incident response and customer service. You'll bring a minimum of 4 years' experience in a Corporate Security related environment as well as a Green COA (Certificate of Approval). Proven operational experience in a diverse and high-traffic venue as well as experience as a Security Operations Centre Controller and Fire Warden. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, as is a customer focused mindset and an ability to remain composed under pressure.

AV SUPPORT SUPERVISOR

Take the lead on AV technology support in New Zealand's flagship events and entertainment space. We're looking for an experienced Audio Visual professional to take the lead on the support and maintenance of comprehensive Audio Visual systems and infrastructure. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled individual to work with some of the best available technology to deliver the very best outcomes for our guests.


Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As our AV Support Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of AV technology, ensuring optimal performance across all our platforms and devices. With support from Senior AV Support Engineers you will develop and implement operational processes and help shape our ICT technology road-map while ensuring rigorous compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards for AV services and support.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, build and execute a support and operations framework which will ensure AV systems and users receive the best possible day to day support.
  • Ensure the facility is equipped with the appropriate resources to ensure AV service continuity is maintained at all times.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance according to industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively and where necessary implementing workarounds to ensure there is never an impact to our clients' events.
  • Plan, develop, and execute system life-cycle and replacement projects to deliver ongoing stability and enhancements
  • Provide training, guidance and mentorship to colleagues
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Guides, and Knowledge Base articles


Mōu | About You

You'll have an ability to innovate and translate ideas into real-world process / service improvements and an ability to focus under pressure and show flexibility, adapting priorities and plans to meet business and customer needs. An effective collaborator is essential as you'll be working with various business groups. Other skills you will have are:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience with live event technology and commercial AV solutions
  • Proven experience leading staff in delivery of technical support services and live event production technology
  • Comprehensive understanding of of AV systems including but not limited to Crestron, Q-Sys, Shure Wireless systems, multicast network traffic management, audio and video clocking, broadcast media systems.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commitment to mentoring and training staff and drives continuous improvement.
  • Build and leverage strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Comfortable working at heights and confined spaces from time to time
