New Zealand International Convention Centre grows Leadership Team

The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) has appointed two key leadership positions which now completes its executive team.

Ian Love joins the NZICC as the Director of Operations, bringing 30-years of event and venue management experience to the role.

Michelin-trained Chef Robert Cullen joins the NZICC team as Executive Chef, overseeing the development of NZICC cuisine.

Ian Love - Director of Operations - NZICC

Ian Love joins NZICC as the Director of Operations starting from March 4th.

A veteran in the events industry, Ian’s 30-year career spans all facets of catering and venue management.

From the Sydney Olympics to venues and events in Britain, Bahrain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia; Ian has played a pivotal role in opening and operating some of the world's most iconic events within stadia, arenas, hotels and convention centres.

As Director of Operations, Ian will oversee all aspects of NZICC's event execution and venue management, leveraging his expertise to ensure seamless experiences for clients and guests.

Robert Cullen - Executive Chef – NZICC

Robert Cullen joins the NZICC team as Executive Chef starting from March 4th.

Working in kitchens across the United Kingdom, Russia and Southeast Asia, Cullen is a Michelin-trained Chef with experience working under esteemed names in the culinary industry, notably Raymond Blanc and Albert Roux.

Chef Cullen is passionate about highlighting local producers and creating fine dining experiences. Cullen's dedication to excellence has earned him numerous accolades, including being named one of Hospitality Business Top Chefs of 2021 and a finalist for Ambassador Chef for Beef & Lamb New Zealand.

His last international role was as the Executive Chef for King Abdullah at the Royal Palace in Jordan.
