Prue joined the NZICC in October 2016 as Director of Sales and Marketing, from the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) where she was awarded a number of industry accolades, including Meetings and Events Australia’s National Business Development Person of the Year.

Promoted to General Manager of the NZICC in 2023 in preparation for opening in 2026, Prue is responsible for ensuring NZICC offers a world class delivery experience for clients and guests, and driving international bidding which will contribute $90 million in economic impact. She is passionate about building a NZICC team that is focused on excellence but is also thoughtful in how they embrace and deliver in sustainability goals, community impact to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and creating authentic New Zealand experiences.

Prue is honoured to be able to contribute back to the industry through her position on the Business Events Industry Aoteroa (BEIA) board.

Ian Love joined NZICC as the Director of Operations in March 2024

A veteran in the events industry, Ian’s 30-year career spans all facets of catering and venue management.

From the Sydney Olympics to venues and events in Britain, Bahrain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia; Ian has played a pivotal role in opening and operating some of the world's most iconic events within stadia, arenas, hotels and convention centres.

As Director of Operations, Ian will oversee all aspects of NZICC's event execution and venue management, leveraging his expertise to ensure seamless experiences for clients and guests.

Alana is responsible for building and leading the NZICC sales team, cultivating partnerships with local and international suppliers and maximising revenue opportunities for the NZICC.

Tracey oversees all aspects of the NZICC’s brand, marketing, customer experience, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. This includes focusing on sustainability, community impact, and creating authentic cultural experiences for NZICC’s clients and guests.

Robert Cullen joined the NZICC team as Executive Chef in March 2024.

Working in kitchens across the United Kingdom, Russia and Southeast Asia, Cullen is a Michelin-trained Chef with experience working under esteemed names in the culinary industry, notably Raymond Blanc and Albert Roux.

Chef Rob is passionate about highlighting local producers and creating fine dining experiences. Cullen's dedication to excellence has earned him numerous accolades, including being named one of Hospitality Business Top Chefs of 2021 and a finalist for Ambassador Chef for Beef & Lamb New Zealand.

His last international role was as the Executive Chef for King Abdullah at the Royal Palace in Jordan.

Born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, George brings over two decades of frontline experience to NZICC, including 23 years with the New Zealand Police and senior roles at Securitek and Air New Zealand. His deep expertise in security and risk management ensures our people, clients, and guests are in safe hands.

George is known for his calm, approachable manner and his commitment to delivering thoughtful, solutions-focused service. His leadership strengthens our safety protocols and supports our goal of creating a secure and welcoming environment for all.
