Visitor FAQs

NZICC will be open from February 2026.

We are located at 101 Hobson Street, Auckland Central. The venue sits between Hobson Street and Nelson Street. The Exhibition Hall is located on Level 3, Hobson Street ground level, and the Theatre is located on Level 5, accessible via escalator and lifts.

Location:

NZICC’s street address is 101 Hobson Street, with entrances on both Hobson Street and Nelson Street, as well as access through the overbridge from SkyCity and the Horizon Hotel.  

The best place to drop off passengers by car is Federal Street, which is a short walk across Hobson Street to the venue.

Carpark:

Our carpark is located underneath the venue with the entrance located at 46 Nelson Street. There are 1,327 parking spaces on site and exits available on both Hobson Street and Nelson Street. 

Information to note:

  • Vehicle height clearance is 2.1 metres.
  • Direct lift access is available to all levels of the venue and parking. 
  • There are 20 electric vehicle charge points, located on parking levels B1 and B2. 
  • There are 28 accessibility spaces on parking level B1.


While there is ample parking space, there may be occasions where availability is limited due to multiple events or large conferences. Our car park directly connects through to the SkyCity car park for additional parking. 

Public Transport:

If you’re travelling by public transport, we are just a 20-minute walk from Britomart Transport Centre, Waitematā Train Station, and Downtown Ferry Terminals. Learn more about public transport options here.

And in 2026, the new Te Waihorotiu City Rail Link Station is set to open, with entrances on Victoria Street and Wellesley Street, just a short walk from our venue. 

Sometimes roadworks and motorway closures take place in the late evening. We suggest you check the NZ Transport Agency's and Auckland Transport's list of motorway closures before your visit to plan your trip.

What are your casual parking rates?

The casual rate for parking is $8 for 0-30 minutes, $16 for the first hour and $8 every hour after. The maximum parking charge per day (up to 24 hours) is $48.

What are the Early Bird parking rates?

Monday – Friday $16.50 entry between 6am and 10am and exit between 3pm and 7pm, on the same day (single entry and exit).

Standard casual rates apply to the entire parking stay if entering/exiting outside these times.

Yes. We provide free Wi-Fi throughout the entire venue.

Our building features full Wi-Fi 6E/7 connectivity throughout - making it one of the first in New Zealand to offer this advanced standard. It’s designed to support 2.5 devices per person, with a total building capacity of 8,000 people, meaning it can handle up to 20,000 connected devices simultaneously. The entire network infrastructure and bandwidth are built to eSports-level standards, ensuring ultra-fast, reliable, and low-latency performance for every user.

Te Tumu Café is located on Level 3 of NZICC.

Guests can enjoy a curated selection of snacks, hot food, and both hot and cold beverages. Our beverage offerings reflect our commitment to showcasing Aotearoa. From locally crafted beers and boutique New Zealand wines to premium ready-to-drink spirits and thoughtfully selected alcohol-free options, every drink tells a story of regional excellence and hospitality.

For ticketed shows, there is 2 x permanent concession kiosks surrounding the Theatre and pop up bars in the Foyers of Level 5.

If it’s still within opening hours on the same day you lost your property, you can collect it from the reception desk on Level 3.

If it’s the following day or later, please call +64 09 363 6225 for assistance in retrieving your item.

NZICC boasts 8,000 hotel rooms within a short walk. For the ultimate convenience, Horizon Hotel, The Grand by SkyCity, and SkyCity Hotel connect directly to our venue via air bridges. Quest on Hobson and Sudima Auckland City are conveniently located only a 2-minute walk from the venue.

  • Do you have a Medical Room / First Aid available?
    We have a dedicated room managed by Security.

  • Do you have prayer rooms available?
    We do not have dedicated rooms on site - Please contact the event organiser to discuss.

  • Do you have baby changing facilities?
    A parent room is available on Level 3 with change table facilities. We also have all-inclusive accessible bathroom on Level 3 which includes a baby change table.

  • Do you have a cloakroom?
    A cloakroom is available at all shows, at no cost to patrons. The location will be determined on a show-by-show basis. 

  • I have an issue with my tickets. Can you help me? 

    We do not manage tickets for shows, concerts, conferences, or events. Please get in touch with the authorised ticket issuer for assistance with:

    • Seating maps
    • Purchasing tickets
    • Mobile tickets
    • Printing issues
    • Lost tickets
    • Refunds

  • Box Office 

    The box office will open approximately 45 minutes before doors open for an event. Location of the box office will vary from event to event.

  • What restricts the view for 'restricted view' seats?

    The specific restrictions can vary depending on the venue and seating layout. Please contact the ticketing agency listed on the website for details about seat allocations and any view obstructions.

We are committed to being an accessible venue for all visitors.

Venue access

  • Both the Hobson Street and Nelson Street entrances have accessible access ramps with an accessibility equipped revolving door and associated access buttons. 
  • The automatic side door entry from Nelson Street is suitable for wheelchairs. 
  • Lifts are available to all parking and venue levels. 

Parking
There are 28 accessibility spaces on parking level B1.

Accessible seating in our Theatre
Our Theatre has wheelchair accessible seats available. These can be requested by contacted the event ticketing agent directly. These are available with companion seating on a show-by-show basis. 

All floor seating (the three sections closest to the stage) plus Row DD, are easy access seats (flat floor access).  

Bathrooms
There are accessible bathrooms on Levels 1, 3 and 5. 

Visually impaired patrons
Braille is located on all bathroom signage and lifts, and guide dogs are welcome throughout the building.

Hearing impaired patrons
A hearing augmentation loop is available throughout the venue.

  • Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes in this venue is prohibited. 
  • Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult (18+) while on the premises. 
  • The box office will open approximately 45 minutes before doors open for an event. The box office location will vary from event to event.
  • Is your meat Halal? While most of our meat suppliers are Halal certified, all meat preparation is completed in a NZICC central kitchen so we cannot guarantee that meat is Halal.
  • Do you have a credit card surcharge? Yes, a credit card, contactless and online payment surcharge of 1.8% will apply.

  • I want to host an event at NZICC. What's the first step?
    Your first step to hosting an event with us is to contact our dedicated team. They will be happy to discuss your event and assist you with planning.

  • Which space is the best option for my event? 
    Versatility is at the heart of our venue, making it the perfect fit for small and large events – and everything in between. Check out our adaptable spaces, suited to groups of 20 to 4,500.
